John W. Davis III has captured memories all across Wilmington and the surrounding areas for years.  As the official Photographer for the  Wimington Journal, Willie Stargell Foundation, and the Azalea Festival, and other organizations,  he has produced memorable moments that have been published in numerous publications.  Even though his skills are in high demand, he still finds the time to teach others about his passion in life, photography.  He has been recognized as one of the Living Legends in Wilmington for his extraordinary work.

Photography Tips

  • Light is the most important when taking a photograph.  Bad light produces bad photographs!
  • Think before you shoot.  Let your photograph tell a story.
  • Don't take pictures of people while they are eating!
  • Don't make everyone smile.  Some people don't smile well.
  • Read your camera manual!  You'll be amazed at what you learn.
  • Don't go cheap on lenses!
